An annual event since 2003, Kanoe the Kazoo has introduced over 1,000 area citizens to the beauty and recreational opportunities provided by the Kalamazoo River and its tributary streams and lakes. 

• 2010 Lake Allegan Carp Derby - Saturday, June 12, 2009 from 9am - 5pm

This annual family friendly event is sponsored ans supported by the Kalamazoo River TMDL Implementation Committee, Allegan County Conservation District, Muzzy Bowfishing Company, AWS Bowfishing Company, Gander Mountain, D&R Sports, and many others. The Carp Derby will take place at the Michigan DNR Echo Point Boat Launch near Allegan, MI on June 12th from 9 am to 5 pm. Prizes will be awarded and food is provided. A map and additional information can be found at this link. The event is free and no pre-registration is required.
