West Fork Stretch 5 Description:

• From Oakland Road east, Timberlane Road runs along north side of creek
• Medium-density residential area on north side of creek, creek located in wooded valley >100 feet from homes
• Flat creek banks with herbaceous and shrub wetland vegetation
• Some lawns mown to edge on south bank
• Water mostly shaded with cobble and sand substrate (riffles present)
• Water path sinuous at beginning of stretch, but constricted around home at end of Timberlane, home built on island in creek protected by wood seawall
• Water clear
• Emergent vegetation and wood ducks observed
