West Fork Stretch 4 Description:

  • Creek splits into two channels after flows out of Lime Kiln Lake, flows along both sides of SunValley Drive and converges just south of Angling Road
  • Creek widens into pond areas both north and south of Angling Road
  • Residences located along creek banks: some mow lawns up to banks, others allow an approximately 25-foot riparian zone of shrubs and wetland vegetation
  • Ponds were frozen on the water surface during survey, indicating low flow
  • Geese and ducks frequent the ponds
  • Wide wooded riparian zone provided by fenced private property on Angling Road
  • Sand and sludge-like substrate near Angling Road
  • Creek flows under Oakland Drive and into Stretch 5
