Portage Creek Stretch 7 Description:

  • Creek flows under Westnedge Avenue and follows rail road tracks
  • Parking lots for commercial businesses and rail road tracks are very close to both banks
  • Banks are steep and eroding with fill and scrub vegetation
  • Large amounts of litter reach the creek from the road and dumpsters
  • Stream is channelized and highly impacted
  • Eroding banks appear to be replaced with fill dirt
