- South of railroad tracks
- Open pond fed by two stormwater pipes at its west end
and drained by outlet structure at east end, which connects
to channel along railroad tracks
- Steep wooded banks on south side pond, residences just
south of trees
- Shrub and herbaceous vegetation on north side
- Dirt drive and tracks break up riparian zone
- Wetland vegetation in east end of pond
- Great blue heron and swan observed in pond at east end
- Song birds in shrubs
- Semi isolated habitat niche
